The Office Technology Program prepares students for wide range of office careers. In a simulated office setting utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, students become acquainted with the skills, abilities, and attitudes needed for a successful job performance in the technical business office profession. Students explore a wide range of procedures including keyboarding, computer applications using word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation packages, Internet exploration, records management, accounting, consumer education, business mathematics, operation of office machines, and general office procedures.

Students who complete this program will be highly prepared for employment in today's computerized and technical office. Seniors students complete a portfolio project and are encouraged to participate in the Co-op Program, which provides career opportunities. With further training in this field, additional opportunities for career advancement increase.

Office Tech Success
Congratulations to the Office Technology Class of 2013 on their recent Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exams.  Twenty-one students sat for the Word 2003 exam and the class achieved a 100% pass rate.  Ninteen students sat for the Excel 2003 exam and again achieved a 100% pass rate.  Exams are administered after the students have completed over 100 hours of coursework in word processing and spreadsheet applications.  Again, congratulations on a job well done.
Office Tech Field Trip
All Office Technology sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending the Bristol Community College field trip on May 2, 2011 are to be in the foyer at 8:15 in the morning.

Office Tech students win SkillsUSA Honors
Office Technology student Kelsie Almeida placed second in the Pin Design Contest and Office Technology student Morgan Costa placed third in the pin design contest. Story continues.

Office Tech student wins VFW Voice of Democracy Contest
The Joseph Francis VFW Post 486 has awarded Venecia Kemp, a junior in the Office Technology Program at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, a $100 savings bond by through The Voice of Democracy Program. Story continues here.
